Composition and instructions for using BMVD for feeding pigs, how to make it yourself

What is BMVD and its composition

The BMVD includes several components:

  • proteins (B) - the component must be easily digested, absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract, and contain amino acids;
  • minerals (M) - mineral supplements for complete nutrition;
  • vitamins (B) - supplements including vitamins B, A, D, E, K.

BMV additives or BVM concentrates are used for all age groups of pigs. By adding them to grain mixtures and other feed, high productivity and milk production of sows, healthy piglets and high-quality meat are achieved. Thanks to BVMK, animals quickly grow muscle fibers, maintaining their “wet structure”, with an even distribution of fat inside the muscles, and not on top.

Soy, sunflower, dried blood, and whey are used as protein. Vitamins in BMVD are in water-soluble form. The minerals used are limestone, table salt, mixtures with pure copper, iron, iodine, zinc and other minerals.

Composition of the BMVD

The basis of BMVD is protein. It is this component that allows pigs to gain weight. Proteins should be easily digested and absorbed, and also contain essential amino acids. As a source of such protein, supplements include:

  • soybean cake;
  • sunflower meal;
  • yeast cells;
  • dried blood cells;
  • whey powder;
  • other substances with a high protein content.

In addition, BMVD contains a variety of natural amino acids.

The quality of the protein in the product is of enormous importance for pigs of any age, but this is especially important for the smallest (piglets from birth to one and a half months). Their digestive system is still too weak and unformed; they are in greater need of stimulation of growth and development.

In addition to these components, BMVD also contain an increased concentration of vitamins. Most often they contain B vitamins, as well as vitamins A, D3, E, K.

At different ages, animals require different amounts and types of vitamins. Therefore, BMVD may differ in composition depending on the age of pigs they are intended for.

Organic and inorganic substrates are introduced into the BMWD as minerals: salt, monocalcium phosphate, limestone and mineral mixtures with the addition of iron, selenium, zinc, iodine, etc.

In addition, the preparations include fish, bone or meat and bone meal. All listed ingredients must have high sanitary quality indicators. It is better to use brands from trusted manufacturers.

If you have experience and special knowledge, you can create a balanced diet for pigs yourself. In such circumstances, BMVD may not be necessary, but it will require more time and constant monitoring.

Special supplements contain all the necessary nutrients for pigs, so they simplify the feeding process and save time. Pig farmers often opt for finished products.

Advantages and disadvantages

The use of BMVD for pigs has a number of undeniable advantages:

  • Giving the feed completeness and balance.
  • Feed consumption is reduced due to the high concentration of additives.
  • The reproductive functions of animals increase.
  • BMVD promotes the rapid and complete development of piglets.
  • The mortality rate of young animals is reduced.
  • The composition of the blood of animals improves.
  • Body functions work better.
  • The possibility of vitamin deficiency is excluded.
  • High quality of meat at the output and its great demand in the market.

There are not many disadvantages of the BMVD:

  • Although the choice of supplements is wide, the price of a quality product is high.
  • Cheap BMVDs contain poorly digestible components, so you have to prepare supplements at home.

Popular manufacturers of dietary supplements

BMVDs for pigs are produced by different companies. Some of them managed to earn a good reputation among Russian livestock breeders. For example:

  1. The Swiss company produces feed for farm animals, premixes, vitamins and mineral supplements.
  2. from the Netherlands presents a wide range of feeds and growth stimulants not only for pigs, but also for other animals and poultry.
  3. Ukrainian produces feed and vitamin and mineral supplements for birds, cows, pigs, sheep and sells its products at an affordable price.
  4. Polskaya specializes in the production of feed and biomass feed specifically for pigs. Its products are of high quality. Its price is in the middle segment.

Whether or not to use growth stimulants when breeding pigs is up to each farmer to decide for himself. Practice shows that additives to feed for increasing the weight of animals help maintain the health of pets at the proper level, improve the taste of meat and make more profit.

Varieties

BMVDs may vary in composition. The ratio of the components included in the additives determines their name:

  • vitamins;
  • vitamin and mineral;
  • mineral;
  • enriched with amino acids.

Depending on the age of the animals for which BMVDs are intended, they are distinguished:

  • applied until piglets reach the age of 1.5 months;
  • from 1.5 to 2.5 months;
  • from 2.5 months to six months.

Packaging of BMW additives - 5, 10, 25, 40 kg.

Main manufacturers of BMW vehicles

Each manufacturer must attach an annotation to their products. It indicates the approximate composition, dosage, methods of application and age of the animal for which the selected components are intended.

These substances have no contraindications, but to get the best effect you will have to experiment.

Manufacturers that have proven themselves in terms of product quality and efficiency include:

  • "Agri-korm" (Russia);
  • "Standard-Agro" (Ukraine);
  • ShenPig GP Premiu (Poland);
  • Trouw Nutrition (Netherlands);
  • Shencon (Switzerland).

Which additive to choose depends on the goals pursued by the farmer or the management of a large livestock association. BMVD help to increase the immunity of animals and improve the taste of meat. All farms are individual and located in different natural areas. Therefore, it is possible to select the composition of the BMVD that would suit any region and the feed used only in the place where the animals are located.

Main manufacturers

Additives for piglets produced by different companies are widely used by both farmers and agricultural producers. The most popular include:

  • VitOMEK LLC is the largest Russian company producing feed for farm animals and poultry;
  • LLC "Southern Crown" - a feed production plant, Krasnodar region;
  • SHENCON is a company from Switzerland that deals with compound feeds, chemical feed additives, and premixes;
  • Trouw Nutrition - manufacturer of feed, growth stimulants, additives, the Netherlands;
  • NPK "Askor" is a St. Petersburg manufacturer of dietary supplements, premixes, and compound feeds.

Product quality is monitored in laboratories where raw materials and components included in manufactured products are examined.

Manufacturers of dietary supplements

Many companies produce dietary supplements for pigs. Let's consider companies that, due to their quality, have earned recognition from experienced livestock breeders:

  1. The Ukrainian-Swiss company specializes in the production of feed for all farm animals. Their products have proven their effectiveness with excellent results.
  2. from the Netherlands offers a wide selection of feed and growth stimulants for domestic animals and poultry.
  3. is engaged in the production of feed and dietary supplements for farm animals and poultry. The products are sold at reasonable prices, which makes them even more attractive to buyers.
  4. produces feed and biomass feed specifically for pigs. The products it produces are known in the market for their excellent quality. Prices are average in the industry.

Of course, this is not a complete list of trustworthy companies, but the products of the listed companies are the most in demand. The quality of products at all listed enterprises is controlled in laboratories where raw materials and components that make up the additives are studied. This guarantees the safety of funds.

Each livestock breeder decides for himself whether BMVD is needed when raising pigs or not. For many years, pig farmers have been using such additional additives when raising pigs. Their practice shows that the benefits of these supplements are obvious. They have a positive effect on the general condition of animals, helping them grow and gain weight. Also, due to the high concentration of vitamins and substances that normalize the digestive process, supplements protect against a number of diseases.

As a result of the use of such preparations, the quality of meat improves: the percentage of fat is reduced and the taste improves. Thus, the use of BMVD can have a direct impact on the demand for meat products and, consequently, on the profitability of pig farming. It is important to observe moderation in everything, strictly follow the instructions for use on the packages and purchase drugs only from trusted companies.

Instructions for use

BMVD is used for piglets from one week of age until slaughter. Feed is added to animal food according to the recommendations printed on the packaging. The most commonly followed doses are:

  • 20 kg of BMVK per 100 kg of regular feed;
  • for two-month-old piglets, the supplement should be a quarter of the diet;
  • from the age of 3 months and older - 15%;
  • at 4 months - 10% of the diet;
  • if the pig weighs from 25 kg to 65 kg, add 15 kg of BMVD per 100 kg of feed;
  • from 65 kg to 100 kg - 10% of the total diet.

It is necessary not only to observe the dosage, but also several rules:

  • Use supplements depending on your goal - gaining weight, accelerating growth, increasing libido and activity.
  • Use ready-made mixed feed as the main feed, mixing additives into it according to the dosage.
  • Carry out high-quality mixing of the components.
  • Buy the product only from trusted manufacturers.

How to make a pig gain weight faster

To grow an animal faster, growth stimulants for pigs such as antibiotics, hormonal drugs (steroids), phosphatides, natural acids, enzymes and azobacterin are used. Each group of substances has its own advantages as a growth stimulant, but not all of them are safe for the person for whom the pig is intended for food.

Of course, there are technologies that reduce the concentration of growth additives in meat, but do they work well enough? Or does an explosive mixture, which contains antibiotics and hormones, end up on the plate of those who like to eat pork? Hormonal preparations for pigs remaining in the meat are not destroyed during heat treatment. Abuse of such products can cause metabolic disorders, weight problems, infertility in adults and early puberty in children.

Sustainable livestock farming may not be as profitable. But the products obtained by feeding pigs with natural products are safe and provide the benefits that are expected from them. Growth supplements containing vitamins also help flocks grow healthier and gain weight faster, although they are not designed to produce record-breaking results.

Experienced farmers do not recommend adding biological additives to the feed for pigs if their diet contains plenty of fish, eggs or skim milk, as is the case in large multidisciplinary farms. Premixes for pig feed are a good help for those who use crushed steamed grain as the main feeding product: it does not contain enough protein, salts and does not contain all vitamins.

Granulated premixes are added to food when it lacks protein and other substances.

DIY making

In order to save money and to guarantee quality, BMVDs are prepared with their own hands. If the recipe and dosage are strictly followed, a high-quality supplement is obtained. The main component of piglet feed is protein. The fiber content should be minimal. Before mixing the components, they are thoroughly crushed. For one and a half month old piglets, the feed includes:

  • barley - up to 45%;
  • oats - up to 16%;
  • soybean meal - up to 10%;
  • yeast - up to 3%;
  • fish meal - up to 8%;
  • powdered milk - up to 8%;
  • sugar - up to 5%;
  • chalk - 1%;
  • herbal flour - 1%;
  • fat - 2%.

For adult piglets and pigs, the recipe is more simplified, with an increased amount of fat, chalk, salt and barley. If any components are missing, there is no need to risk the health of the animals. Ready-made additives are purchased from reliable, trusted manufacturers.
